We celebrated St. David's and St. Patrick's Day in March, this month it was red and white for St.George on Thursday 23rd! Did you know Shakespeare was born and died on Gt. George's Day? http://www.visitleicester.info/things-to-see-and-do/festivals-celebrations/st-georges-festival/st-georges-day-facts/
We did lots of craft activities; some sociable group activities, creating an English rose and some knight's shields, others, careful solo projects (some of which are on the St. George's Day display.
We also decorated biscuits to look like the English flag. At story time throughout the day we had stories with dragons in - "Lullabyhullabaloo" by Mick Inkpen and "Room on the Broom" by Julia Donaldson (two of Sharron's favourite books). We always like to hear about the children's favourites, do bring them in for us to share or make new favourites, lots of Sharron's appear on this list http://www.booktrust.org.uk/books/children/booklists/241
