Our Second Easter Bonnet Competition

This year we had even more  entries than last ...

 ...what a creative lot!

On Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd April,we had the judging and our Easter Parades. A winner was chosen for each day and an overall winner. The hats were very varied and we had lots of lovely feedback about the fun had (and mess made!) at home so we hope to do more activities asking families to be creative at home throughout the year.

The three winners were all entries where you could really see the children's input!

Great fun was had parading around in the Easter Bonnets.....

or just wearing them to show them off!!

Although this did mean that the hats didn't go home looking exactly as they came in and we are still finding the odd wayward feather or chick!!

The children also made lovely Easter cards and did lots of baking. There was a hunt for (card) easter chicks, when they found one they got a a chocolate egg and coloured the chicks in!

We will let you know via the newsletter, posters and your child's key person about future art activities that we would like to share your creativity at home. in the mean time why not check out one of the sites below for ideas?
