Water play

The children have spent a lovely morning in the garden playing with water...... As well as the obvious fun that the children have enjoyed they have also been learning about construction, water flow, space and measure, mathematical terms such as full and empty as well as supporting each other.

The children were sharing, taking turns and helping each other. The older children were teaching the younger ones what to do and how to do it.

There was great excitement as a variety of objects floated out of the pipe including balls, ducks, grass and flowers.

The children quickly learnt how the fix the pipes if they fell down and how to recycle the water from the bottom tray to the top again.

We are hoping to build a permanent water wall soon with the pipes and guttering that we have collected.
