Treasure hunt

Today the children have been on a treasure hunt around the village looking for clues.

The children followed the first 2 clues which led them to the kitchen gardens.

The next clue led them to the church.

As they passed through the garden they stopped to watch the tree having some of its branches removed.

The clues led us to the estate office where we saw Claire and Ros.

The children searched high and low for the next clue.

The clues led us all the way to the Christmas tree plantation.

After all the walking the children stopped for lunch on the barbeque, they cooked sausages and marshmallows.

On the way back to nursery the children stopped at the orchard to pick some apples and made a lovely apple crumble to share.

Walking is a fantastic way to exercise and the children managed to clock up 6.11 km on their treasure hunt. For more information on the benefits of walking click here
