RHS campaign for school gardening

Over the past few months we have been working with the Royal Horticultural Society to improve our understanding of growing food with the children. We entered their competition and we are happy to say we have been awarded level 3. We have submitted our entry for level 4 and await the results.

The children have been busy over the Spring and summer growing lots of different things including lettuce and potatoes.

We also visited the estate kitchen gardens to see food production on a slightly bigger scale.

On completing our level 3 we received some plants to grow over the Winter, which we have been busy planting this week.
