The children visited the estate gardens to look for fresh produce and herbs to flavour their soup. They collected onions, potatoes as well as a variety of different vegetables. They helped to pick and clean the produce ready for chopping.
The children helped to peel and chop the ingredients, learning how to cut them into smaller pieces to speed up the cooking process.
The best bit was the tasting, everyone was pleased with their efforts and tried the different soups prepared throughout the week.
