For the past two weeks our walks have been ending up at the same location.
The children have been fascinated by the diggers and tractors working on drainage ditches near the Brake Pool.
We have been carefully monitoring the various stages of construction;
...from the early stages,
When the hole had been dug across the footpath, after seeing the progression from a distance, we went to see what the sign on the safety fence told us
and, close up, found that the pipes for drainage had been put in place.
The sign had told us that they hoped to reopen the footpath on Friday 3rd, so we went for another visit that afternoon.
We watched the digger collect soil from the field to refill the holes, then stones.
Who knew digger driving was such a draw!!
