On Monday 1st February a group of 2, 3 and 4 year olds enjoyed a tractor and trailer ride up to Park Farm to see the sheep shearing.
The children love the tractor ride and we had lots of lovely comments, which we have included on our Spring display board.
Noah said:"We went on the bumpy tractor to see the sheep having a haircut!" (he'd had his hair cut in the 'barber's van' the weekend before!)
The children watched the shearers at work, then saw a whole fleece laid out, before it was packed away with the others.

Shepherd Reg showed us the sheep in the barns and his daughter Eliza, proudly showed us her favourite, 'Woolly'. Later back at nursery saying "My daddy looks after the sheep" another quote alongside the children's paintings, drawings and collages!!
