Exploring

The children were very excited to be able to explore the yellow grass field.

The children were intrigued to notice the plants starting to turn yellow in the fields. The staff explained that the plant is called oil seed rape and this will be harvested to produce cooking oil and other useful products.

The children enjoyed exploring being careful to stay on the paths so as not to damage the crop.

We found strange marks in the soil which we discovered were the marks made by the tractor as it drives between the rows of plants.

We walked up the steep hill to the top and talked about the plants that were tall and those that were shorter. We cant wait to see the crop harvested when it is ripe.
