The children have been celebrating Halloween by dressing up, playing party games and walking around the village collecting treats.

The children have been dressing up for Halloween

We had lots of little witches, a spider, Vampires, pumpkins and Fireman Sam to name but a few.

We went for a walk around the village to scare everyone and collect some treats to take home.

We were brave and approached the kitchen.

Where we were rewarded with treats from the kitchen window to take home.

For snack we had ghost bananas.......SPOOKY

The parents joined in the fun and had a go at finding the spider in the mystery box of goo.

We played bobbing for apples and had to be courageous and put our faces into water.

One of our very clever parents even made a bubbling cauldron.

The children have loved pretending to be characters in their dressing up clothes as well as believing they were scaring the adults. Why is pretend play so important to children click here and here to see how development is assisted when children have opportunities to pretend play.
