Toasting marshmallows

The children have been learning about fire safety this week, with bonfire night nearly here, so today we have been toasting marshmallows.

One of our holiday club children helped to set the fire and keep the children safe. He made sure everyone was behind the tape and that there was a bucket of water ready to out the fire out.

Some of the preschool children had a go at toasting marshmallows, some of the marshmallows got burnt and didn't taste nice but the children quickly learned how long to toast them to make them delicious.

The ones that didn't get burned tasted yummy.

Just what we needed on a cold damp day.

Taking risk is very important for a child development, as long as it is well managed and planned. Click here for more information.
