This morning, we were delighted to welcome the children and staff from Overbury First School into the nursery for a festive visit. They brought plenty of Christmas cheer with them as they sang a selection of carols, before continuing on their way around the village.

This morning brought lots of excitement as the children climbed aboard the tractor and trailer for a special trip to the woods to choose our Christmas tree. When we arrived, we walked down the lane to where all the Christmas trees were growing.

Last week, the children made a special visit to the kitchen gardens to help Harry, our gardener, create a Poppy Cross to be displayed at the Church on Remembrance Sunday. They carefully chose leaves to stick on and arranged the poppies—it looked absolutely fantastic!

We are are participating in the Real Bread Campaign's 'Bake Your Lawn'. We met Harry and Farmer Jake at the kitchen gardens where the soil had been finely tilled ready for the children to plant the wheat seeds.
