Overbury Grasshoppers News

This week we have continued our learning for British Food Fortnight. 

Children at Grasshoppers have been taking part in lots of fun food based learning to tie in with British Food Fortnight which runs from the 26th September to the 12th October. 

The children have been learning about all aspects of bread making from growing and harvesting the wheat to making a loaf for their snack. 

Healthy eating for young children is top of our priority list.

The children have been learning all about where their food comes from. This week we have been looking at food from tress. 

The children have been celebrating food this week during British food fortnight with a visit from Jack and Tom, the chefs at the Yew tree pub in Conderton. 

The children love this time of year when they can visit the kitchen gardens and pick fresh fruit and vegetables.

I would like to introduce Kiele who runs Fantasically Fresh in Beckford. Kiele and her team are producing good quality food using locally sourced ingredients. We are very lucky at Grasshoppers to be  working with Kiele to ensure the children receive a variety of good quality, nutritious and tasty meals whilst they are at nursery.
