On their 'outdoor classroom' sessions through out October and November the bonfire at the bottom of School Lane has been a source of lots of exploration!The 'raw materials' mysteriously appeared and the pile seemed to get bigger each week! For the first time in 5 years our unique annual picnic was rained off! Instead of a picnic near the stream in the Park we had a party in the village hall.... ... but we still had ride on the children's favourite form of transport...tractor and trailer! Almost all of our leavers were able to attend, and we were able to fit just about everyone on...

On election day Thursday 7th May we had our own vote at Grasshoppers. There has been a  project to vote for Britain's National bird http://www.votenationalbird.com, so while the grown ups voted for the next prime minister, the children at Grasshoppers put their cross in the box of the bird they liked the best! There was a list of 10 birds too...

This year we had even more  entries than last ...  ...what a creative lot! On Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd April,we had the judging and our Easter Parades. A winner was chosen for each day and an overall winner. The hats were very varied and we had lots of lovely feedback about the fun had (and mess made!) at home so we hope to do more...

We had two pyjama days to raise money for Children in Need, I'm not sure who enjoyed this comfortable option the most...the children or the staff!!
