Buckets and birds

This week the children have been out and about exploring their environment, collecting natural resources and looking at the wild birds.

The younger children have been looking for signs of winter with frost and ice and have enjoyed jumping in the muddy puddles.

They have also taken their new collection buckets out to collect interesting natural resources. Research is starting to prove that spending time in nature helps children with the process of learning.

The older children have been talking about wild birds, looking at books and designing their own to take home.

They also visited Overbury First School for their Christingle service. When they returned to nursery they made their own recalling the information they had learned.
