Leavers 2020

On a very wet and windy Friday evening the leavers of  2020 returned to the nursery garden to receive their leaving memory books and say good bye to the staff. This celebration had been postponed from the summer during the height of the corona virus pandemic.

The children arrived with their parents in the carpark, parents stayed outside of the fence observing social distancing and the children came into the garden to say goodbye to the staff and their friends.

The children were very happy to see their key workers, some of whom had not been back to nursery since March. It was an emotional reunion.

The children received their special leavers books full of happy memories of their time at Grasshoppers and had their photograph taken. All children were well prepared for the weather following our ethos of "there is no such thing as bad weather only unsuitable clothing."

Everyone had a delicious graduation cake as we were unable to provide our normal buffet style picnic, the children didn't mind, they had great fun splashing in the rain and digging in the mud pit.
