Exploring and exploration

This week our children have been exploring. The babies have been interested in the feely bags and toddlers have been out looking for the rainbow fish.

Babies have loved exploring the feely bags this week.

This activity is helping to develop the small manipulation skills that will develop as children learn to write.

The process of moving small objects around using the fingers helps to strengthen muscles and build concentration and perseverance.

The toddlers have been reading the rainbow fish they went exploring with their fishing net to see if they could find it.

We also stopped at the waterfall to see the Octopus who was washing his hair.

It is very important that children are given opportunities to use their imagination to help with development in areas such as empathy, language development as well as problem solving and critical thinking. Click here to find out more.
