Harry came to talk to the children about composting. He installed a regular compost bin as well as a hot composter. He explained what we could put in them and how the hot composter works.
The children collected the peelings and fruit waste in a bucket during the morning then took it to the composter.
We put some of the waste into the hot composter and then replaced the lid to keep the heat in.
We then placed some waste in the regular composter so that we could check to see what happens in each of the bins.
